MoPH Conducts Three Training Programs on RCCE, SBC, and WASH for Directorate Staff
The Ministry of Public Health conducted three training programs for staff of the Directorate of Information, Public Relations, and Spokesperson on RCCE, SBC, and WASH.
These trainings were conducted in collaboration with the Health Promotion Department of the Ministry’s National Public Health Institute to build the capacity of the Directorate of Information, Public Relations, and Spokesperson staff and improve public messaging in these areas. The closing ceremony was attended by Sheikh Mohammad Tahir Haleem, Chief of Staff of the MoPH; Mawlawi Mohammad Dawood Mansoori, Director of International Relations, and Aid Coordination; Director of Information, Public Relations, and Spokesperson, Dr. Sharafat Zaman; Dr. Abdul Jabar Haider, Head of Health Promotion; and several other officials.
Sheikh Mohammad Tahir Haleem, spoke comprehensively about the importance of staff training and the topics covered, including hygiene, sanitation, and other subjects, and described such programs as beneficial.
He added that, in the light of Islam, we receive valuable guidance on these matters, and following it can protect us from many diseases and their harms.
Mawlawi Mohammad Dawood Mansoori, shared his views on the program and urged participants to continue learning and apply the knowledge in their personal and professional lives.
Dr. Abdul Jabar Haider, said the goal is to properly implement the programs in the community for effective message delivery, and efforts in this regard will continue.
At the end, participants were awarded certificates for the training they received in Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE), Social and Behavior Change (SBC), and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH).
