Dr. Mohammad Haidar Omar, the Director of Postgraduate Specialization at the Ministry of Public Health, accompanied by a delegation, embarked on a visit to Takhar Provincial Hospital as part of an extensive tour covering the northern and northeastern provinces.

The primary objective of this visit was not only to oversee the implementation of the specialization curriculum within hospitals but also to engage in a detailed dialogue with both trainee specialists and their trainers, thereby allowing for a thorough understanding of the concerns, challenges, and proposals presented by these medical professionals.

During the visit, Dr. Haidar Omar and the supervisory delegation conducted an exhaustive review of the hospital’s multiple departments, ensuring that no aspect of the facility’s operations, particularly those relating to the postgraduate specialization program, was overlooked. In addition to this, a formal meeting was held with specialists and trainers from the various hospital sections, wherein Dr. Omar actively addressed the issues raised by the trainees and their mentors, taking into account the nuanced dynamics of their specific needs and suggestions.

Moreover, essential recommendations were made regarding the implementation of the tailored curriculum for the postgraduate specialization program, underscoring the ministry’s commitment to refining medical training and fostering a more robust framework for professional development in the healthcare sector.
