The Food Establishments Inspection Team of the Public Health Directorate of Badakhshan conducted monitoring in the New City area of the province, inspecting 8 supermarkets, 3 wholesale shops, one restaurant, a cake and biscuit production factory, and the Alokozay company’s representative office located in the Grain Market area of the Old City.

As a result of the inspection, 22 different types of expired and substandard food items were identified and collected. These items were transferred to the Badakhshan Provincial Public Health Directorate for proper disposal.

In addition, the managers of the inspected establishments were given the necessary recommendations regarding personal, individual, and environmental hygiene.
