Twenty Health Facilities in Helmand Receive Solar-Powered Vaccine Refrigerators

Twenty health facilities in Helmand Province have received standard solar-powered refrigerators for the safe storage of vaccines, valued at AFN 9.5 million.

The refrigerators were procured through the efforts of the Helmand Provincial Public Health Directorate with financial support from UNICEF. Specially designed for the safe storage of vaccines, they will help ensure that vaccines are stored under proper conditions and enable health facilities in remote areas to provide better immunization services.
