Dr. Enayatullah Enayat, Director General of Monitoring and Inspection of the Ministry of Public Health, held an online meeting with representatives of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and partner organizations to integrate the APMIS system with the DHIS2 national database.

The meeting, held under the directives of the Minister of Public Health, was attended by representatives from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, UNICEF, the World Health Organization, NEOC, the HMIS technical team, and several other officials.

A technical discussion was held on collecting data through the APMIS system. It was decided that data from international and local partners would be gradually transferred to the Ministry of Public Health’s Data Warehouse and the DHIS2 national system, with management and ownership assumed by the Ministry.

It is worth noting that APMIS, the nationwide polio data and information collection system, is currently not integrated with the Ministry of Public Health’s national information system and is used notably for polio data collection, with efforts underway to connect it.
