Ministry of Public Health Signs $641,808 Contract with OPHA Organization to Strengthen and Expand Health Services in Nangarhar and Laghman Provinces

The agreement was signed for one year and will provide primary healthcare services to residents of Nangarhar and Laghman provinces through nine Basic Health Centers (BHCs).

This project will create employment opportunities for approximately 90 people across various health-related fields.

Officials from the Ministry of Public Health said the agreement was signed to improve the quality of health services, increase access, and reduce public health issues. Once implemented, it will provide primary healthcare services to 113600 residents of Nangrahar and Laghman and create healthcare job opportunities for 90 people.

Representatives of the OPHA organization expressed confidence that the project will be successfully implemented over the planned period, in accordance with all established standards, while prioritizing the healthcare needs of the population.
