Minister of Public Health Meets IOM Chief of Mission to Strengthen Health Cooperation

In his official office, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, Minister of Public Health, met with Ms. Mihyung Park (IOM) Chief of Mission for Afghanistan, and her delegation.

During the meeting, both sides held comprehensive discussions on strengthening cooperation, implementing joint agreements, and improving healthcare services.

The meeting also covered IOM’s ongoing Migration Health Support activities, focusing on providing essential healthcare services to returnees, internally displaced, and vulnerable populations.

The discussion highlighted cooperation in strengthening health infrastructure, equipping centers, and building staff capacity. Both sides stressed the importance of Migration Health Support, coordinated efforts for equitable healthcare, and rapid, effective responses during emergencies, including joint policy and awareness initiatives.
