The Minister of Public Health, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, met in his office with a 13-member professional delegation from Kazakhstan
During the meeting, both sides discussed the expansion of health cooperation, the exchange of expertise, the implementation of capacity-building programs, and improved institutional coordination.
The Kazakh delegation, which arrived in Afghanistan two weeks earlier, visited Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan, Sheikh Zayed, and Al-Shifa National and Specialized Hospitals to support capacity development. They conducted joint surgical procedures with Afghan specialists and shared their technical and professional insights with medical staff.
Minister Jalali thanked the delegation and described the visit as the start of a new phase in health cooperation between the two countries, emphasizing the Ministry’s commitment to using available resources effectively and expanding training and professional development opportunities for Afghan health workers.
This visit stems from previous discussions between Afghan and Kazakh health officials and marks a concrete step in advancing cooperation. Under this initiative, Afghan health professionals will receive practical training in Kazakhstan, helping improve the quality of healthcare services in Afghanistan.
