The meeting was held by drug treatment and awareness officials at the 80-bed Drug Addiction Treatment Hospital of Kunduz Province with teachers and students of the school. The discussion covered the importance of awareness, the role of youth in building a healthy future, prevention of addiction, its causes, the role of families and friends in prevention, and the negative social impacts of drug addiction.

Teachers were also advised to provide students with comprehensive information about the diseases and harmful consequences caused by drug use, and to fulfill their responsibilities in this regard.

School officials and teachers welcomed the organization of such programs, calling them effective in preventing drug abuse, and expressed their commitment to fulfilling their responsibilities in this regard.
