IEA Public Health Minister Meets WHO Representative to Strengthen Health Cooperation

Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, Minister of Public Health of the IEA, held a meeting in his office with the WHO Representative for Afghanistan, Dr. Edwin Ceniza Salvador, and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, discussions were held on capacity-building programs, particularly in the areas of mental health, cancer, polio, refugees, and laboratory services.

H.E. Jalali said, ‘We are working with full commitment to strengthen the country’s health system and are striving, in cooperation with international organizations, to provide quality healthcare services to all citizens.’

Similarly, the WHO Representative said, “We are ready to continue our support to the Ministry of Public Health in capacity building, improving services, and other health sectors.”
