Deputy Minister of Public Health Visits Malaria and Tuberculosis Control and Prevention Programs

Mawlawi Abdul Wali Haqqani, Deputy Minister of Public Health for Healthcare Services, accompanied by his technical team, conducted an official visit to the Malaria and Tuberculosis Control and Prevention Programs.

During the visit, the Director General of Preventative Medicine, Dr. Haidar Khan Haidar, and the Director General for Curative Medicine, Dr Wahdat Alokozai, were also in attendance. The deputy minister thoroughly observed the programs’ activities and offered recommendations to the relevant officials to further enhance their operational effectiveness.

Furthermore, during his meeting with the heads and staff of the aforementioned programs, the deputy minister emphasized that the Malaria and Tuberculosis Control and Prevention Programs should be implemented with enhanced coordination, improved quality, and greater efficiency, in accordance with the needs of the population, to ensure the effective prevention of these diseases.
