OB.GYN Hospital opened in Mirtbachokot District

A twenty beds Obstetric/Gynecologic (OB.GYN) hospital was inaugurated with cutting of the ribbon in Mirbachakot district of Kabul Province by the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) on Tuesday. 

The inauguration ceremony held in the hospital's compound was attended by Acting Minister of Public Health, Dr. Suraya Dalil, MRRD Minister Jar-Ullah Mansoory, Kabul Province governor Ahmed-Ullah Alizay, representatives of Kabul Province in Lower House of the Parliament and some other local elders and influences.       

Addressing at the ceremony, Dr. Suraya Dalil, Acting Minister of Public Health while termed the inauguration of this hospital an another step toward the improvement of health services delivery in the country saying that the inauguration of this hospital will solve the health problems of the residents of Mirbachakot districts along with other northern districts of Kabul Province.  

 The Minister of Public Health called the inauguration of this OB/GYN hospital an important action toward the reduction of the death of mothers and infants and requested from the health workers of the hospital to pay more attention in delivering of better health services to the patients.

"The leading body of MoPH in spite of improvement of health quantity is striving to enhance the quality of health services in order to provide better health services to the suffered people of Afghanistan", said Dr. Dalil.

Meanwhile Jar-Ullah Mansoory, the Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD) spoke on the issue and admired the collaboration of people in development projects saying that the individuals should take part in developing of Afghanistan, and added that National Solidarity Program (NSP) launched by MRRD is a good opportunity in making nation and running  of the development projects. 

Likewise, the governor of Kabul Province Mr. Alizay appreciated this action of the MoPH and MRRD, pointing to some problems which are exist in districts of Kabul Province and asked the further attention of relevant ministries in resolving of the problems.  

It is worth mentioning that the construction cost of this hospital is more then $ 180,000 which has been paid by NSP. The building of this hospital was constructed during the past two years with 10 percent collaboration of the local residents.

beside Mirbachakot district's residents, other neighboring districts' residents such as; Shakardarah, Guldarah, Qarabaagh, and Farzah districts would be benefited from health services of this hospital.
