Dr. Suraya Dalil, Acting Minister of the Public Health inaugurated an Urban Health Project by cutting the ribbon in district hospital of Dasht-e-Barchi area of Kabul city on Sunday.
This project was launched by the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) in order to enhance and strengthen the health services delivery in Kabul health facilities at worth of $ 3.5 million financial aide of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and World Bank.
Speaking at inaugural ceremony, Dr. Suraya Dalil, Acting Minister of Public Health said that this project provides the essential medicines and medical equipment for 44 health facilities in Kabul City.
The Acting Minister of Public Health added that these 44 health facilities which are covered by the project in Kabul city, most of them provide health services in the rent houses.
Dr. Dalil also asked the Kabul Municipality to provide proper places for constructing of the health facilities in Kabul City and thanked from financial and technical support of JICA and Word Bank in launching this project.
Meanwhile Kabul Provincial Council representative Abdull Hamed Sajadi thanked form Minister of Public Health in launching of this project and asked the Acting Minister to pay more attention toward the increasing of health services in thirteen district of the Kabul City.
At the end of ceremony, JICA representative Mr. Hiroshi spoke on the issue, committing from continued financial and technical cooperation of JICA with health sector of Afghanistan.
