Dr Suraya Dalil meets with Representatives of USAID, US HHS, DoD |
Dr Suraya Dalil, Deputy to Policy & Planning and Acting Minister of Public Health had an introductory meeting with representatives of USAID, US Health and Human Services (HHS) and Department of Defense (DoD) at MoPH headquarters this morning.
Both sides exchanged their views about the issues they were interested in. Then the Acting Minister of Public Health yearned for continuation and augmentation of assistance by the above helping agencies to Afghanistan health sector.
In addition, another pragmatic aspect of this meeting was talks on heightening the quality of health services throughout the hospitals.
Consequently, a decision was made to arrange a specific coordination meeting among MoPH leadership and all the donor agencies supporting Afghanistan Health sector.
One may notice that this coordination meeting will, of course, help Afghan Ministry of Public Health fully discuss on strategies required to improve the hospital health services throughout Afghanistan.
